| Deveron is a 4 star holiday cottage situated in a tranquil setting overlooking the river Coquet at Rothbury, Northumberland .The attractive semi-detached cottage offers delightful holiday accommodation to an excellent standard. Rothbury is a rural village in the north of Northumberland locally known as the 'Capital of Coquetdale' and the Gateway to the National Park, the perfect base to explore the surrounding countryside. |
| The house is light and spacious and equipped with everything required for a family holiday. Deveron has undergone extensive refurbishment to provide all the convenience required for contemporary living and a large bay window in the lounge enhances the light and airy ambience. The lounge is comfortably furnished with leather sofa, plasma TV with Sky DVD, radio, books and games. |
| There are three bedrooms, two double with river views and one twin, a large bathroom with separate shower cubicle, the second toilet is downstairs. The large well equipped kitchen/diner has a cooker with ceramic hob, dishwasher, microwave fridge freezer and a washer/dryer. Gas central heating, electricity and all bedding, towels etc are supplied in the price. The cottage sleeps six plus cot, a high chair and stair gates are also supplied. |
| There is a lawned area in front of the property where you can sit and watch the river go by. The car parking area has space for 2-3 cars in front of the house. |
| This is the ideal base for cycling, bird watching, walking, golfing; an 18- hole golf course is about half a mile away, and fishing for trout and salmon 50yards from your door, fishing permits can be easily acquired locally. The village has tennis courts, swimming, bowls and football. |
| There are several quaint tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The Northumberland coast has many golden sandy beaches and the nearest is about 20 miles away. Also not far away is Cragside, revolutionary home of Lord Armstrong Victorian inventor and landscape genius; Alnwick Castle, home of the Duke and Duchess of Northumberland; Alnwick Gardens with its Grand Cascading Waterfall; Farn Islands; Gateshead Metro Centre; Chillingham Castle, home of the famous Chillingham Wild Cattle. There are many local fairs and country shows within easy reach. |
